According to the National Traffic Incident Management Coalition, over 200 workers lose their lives every year on our highways. That can be avoided by just following the Move Over Laws that are implemented in all 50 states.

If you see a vehicle that has stopped on the side of the road you should always switch lanes to give yourself more space between you and the stopped vehicle. If you are unable to do that you should slow down by at least 15 mph.

We here at Mercedes-Benz of Westwood want to remind you to watch for stalled or stopped vehicles on the side of the road and to adjust your driving accordingly. Help to reduce the number of deaths that occur on our highways each year and switch lanes or slow down. There are Move Over Laws in place for a reason and they exist in all 50 states as the law.
